This cover version of Ai Otsuka’s (大塚 愛) song Planetarium is the first in a serious of pop music videos featuring students at Lam Woo. The purpose of this series is allow students to share their love of music while helping them develop their talents as performers and songwriters. This video features Babbles, a young singer-songwriter about to enter Form 4 (i.e., Grade 10). She mainly performs cover versions of songs by Japanese artists like YUI, but also writes her own original songs.
I recorded the song using a Yamaha electric piano. It is quite old and the keys have become very noisy, so the piano and vocal parts were recorded separately. Magix Audio Cleaning Lab was used to get rid of the background street/city noise and the vocal and instrumental tracks were mixed using Sonar Home studio.
